New Bishop
The new Bishop of Aberdeen, Dom Hugh Gilbert OSB was ordained bishop in the Cathedral of St Mary of the Assumption, Aberdeen on Monday 15th August, the traditional date for the Feast of the Assumption.
He was invested with ring, mitre and crosier by Cardinal Keith Patrick O’Brien. Archbishop Mario Conti of Glasgow, a former Bishop of Aberdeen and Bishop Peter Moran, Bishop Emeritus of Aberdeen, the retiring bishop also consecrated with Cardinal O’Brien.
